[ARCHIVED] Glendale Police Department Accreditation

The accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.  The program consists of 242 standards that incorporate the best police practices.  Agencies are evaluated every three years.  The Glendale Police Department was first awarded accreditation status in 2006.

Persons who wish to provide information about the Glendale Police Department may call (414) 228-1740 on November 6th between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.  A member of the Assessment Team will be available to take your comments.

Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group standards.  A copy of the standards is available for review at the Glendale Police Department.  For additional information please contact Captain Dan Brauer at 228-1753.

Persons wishing to offer written comments about the Glendale Police Department’s ability to meet the standards for accreditation are requested to write to Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group, P.O. Box 270693, Milwaukee, WI 53227

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Chief Mark Ferguson
