Planning and Architectural Review Commission

Overview

The Planning and Architectural Review Commission (PARC) performs a variety of functions related to community planning and land use development. The Planning and Architectural Review Commission’s formal roles are outlined in Wisconsin Statutes § 62.23 and Section 2.4.4, City of Glendale Code of General Ordinances. 

Planning 


Generally, the Planning and Architectural Review Commission is responsible for the following planning responsibilities:


  • Community Planning
  • Comprehensive Plan
  • Plan Implementation
  • Public Participation and Education
  • Development Review
    • Business Use Applications
    • Site Plan Reviews
  • Referrals and Advisory Recommendations to Council
    • Rezoning (Map and Text)
    • Conditional Use Permits
    • Planned Development Districts

 

Design Review


Generally, the Planning and Architectural Review Commission is responsible for the following planning responsibilities:


  • Exterior Design Review of Commercial, Multi Family (3+units), Office, Institutional, and Industrial projects.
  • Exterior Design Review of two-family, single-family structures, and accessory structures.

Meetings


The Plan Commission generally convenes at 6:00 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month in city hall’s Common Council Chambers. Alternative dates will occur due to holidays, scheduling conflicts, or specially called meetings. To confirm, please view the City's calendar via the website for cancellations or rescheduled dates.
