City Hall Services

City Hall Closure

City Hall and City Services will be closed Friday, October 25 to allow for staff to move into the new City Hall building.  On Monday, October 28 all resident services will be able to be accessed in the new City Hall.  All Clerk, Treasurer, Building and Planning services will be available in one convenient location. 
 
A Ribbon Cutting and Open House is being planned for Monday, November 11.  More information to follow.

Aging Memory
A dementia care specialist from Silverado North Shore will go over the three different types of memory, how to differentiate between normal memory loss and memory loss caused by disease, and how to prevent memory loss.

The holidays are around the corner and for some that means uncomfortable conversations and situations. Dr. Parcell from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will talk about how to navigate tough topics, like politics and religion, and tough people.

The Share Shed is a new space at the library where you can borrow non-library related items. The Share Shed has items like binoculars, portable DVD player, conversion equipment, board games, lawn games, puzzles, a telescope and more! Stop by to see what’s available to take home and try.

The earlier a parent begins an age-appropriate conversation with their children, the easier it is to talk with them about more difficult issues as their children approach adolescence. We will discuss our digital library services, amazing databases, and other things you can do to get the most out of your library card! No registration required.

Healthy Brain Screening
A Dementia Specialist from the Milwaukee County Department on Aging will be providing free memory screens. Memory screens are 10-15 minute non-invasive tests that can be a significant first step toward finding out if a person may have a memory problem. Registration required: 414-351-346
