Refuse Collection

Refuse Collection Reminder

Per City of Glendale Ordinance 8-3-6, all garbage shall be placed at the curbside collection point only after 4:00 p.m. on the evening prior to the regular collection time, and then all refuse containers must be removed from the curbside collection point within twenty-four (24) hours after the regular collection time.

Free compost & wood chips

Free Compost & Wood Chips


Glendale offers its Residents free compost & wood chips for spring and summer gardening and landscaping projects.  The free materials are located at 5930 N Glen Park. You can access the open gate Monday-Friday 7AM to 3PM; the compost and wood chips can be found in two separate bins just inside and between both gates at the rear of the Dept of Public Works Building.

On June 10, 1919, Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th amendment which granted women the right to vote. Listen to a presentation by Milwaukee Historical Society about the notable women who cemented Milwaukee and Wisconsin’s future.

Engagement Kits promote memory stimulation, inspire meaningful conversation, and encourage continuing education for individuals who have Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. Each kit has a coffee table book and accompanying music and movie. Stop by and see what kits are available to borrow!
